and buy 200 stamps then send them off. So, it sat on my computer,
having already sent the six bucks off I couldn't send off for the
stickers much less get 200 stamps. $64 dollars is a lot for my limited
income. Fast forward to Dec of 2002. I saw the same thing and this
time it would ONLY cost $6.00 + postage because it was on the internet
No stamps or mailing stickers needed. INSTEAD it told me to copy the
whole document, send the $6.00 off and post it in 200 BBS. There are
thousands of them so a person won't run out of them. Being a skeptical
person I just posted it in a few BBS. About ten, really. I kept an eye
on them. Some people laughed at it, some BBS owners deleted them. One
even threatened the six who are only trying to earn an honest buck and
help others do the same. But a few posted replies saying that they
would try it out. I sat tight, trying to keep ten going. I checked my
PO box (I live in a bad neighborhood that likes to steal mail so I got
that to protect my bill mail.) Low and behold I saw two letters
addressed to me. Not just to the previous mailbox owner. Right then
and there I ripped them open to find a wrinkled dollar bill and a new
one. I chuckled weakly, expecting only those two. After all, I've
always had the worst of luck no plan of mine has EVER worked. I check
it again the next day. One more dollar came in. By the end of the week
I had $10.00. Well, being the poor woman I am I immediately sent off
the six dollars and decided that was it. One week later I received a
phone call from the post office.
"Please pick up your mail."
"What?" I asked, startled at such an odd request.
"Yes, your little box is stuffed with letters, having a wedding are
we?" His voice took on a polite teasing tone.
"Um-mm no, I'll be right there."
When I got there I had ninety-eight count them 98 letters with a
dollar bill in them. There was two utility bills making a total of 100
envelopes but that settled it. If ten did that then what about 200
like the letter asked? So here I am, posting the other 190, I know a
good legal thing when I see it. Hey, if it's working for me then I'm
sure it will work for you. Soon I'll be dept free at last.
